Distribution of Bhandaras, Langar, food to the poor people and Sadhus/saints is one of the objectives of Sri Sri Ram Thakur Ashram, Haridwar. Earlier in Nov 2016, during marriage ceremony of a poor girl nearest to our Ashram at Haridwar, financial assistance was provided to the family of the poor girl.  In this connection clothes with some money were distributed.  Due to pandemic outbreak of Covid-19, financial assistance (Rs. 60,000/-) to many poor people (20-25 persons) has been provided  in between May 2020 to Jul 2020 and more financial assistance to some poor people is yet to be provided on receipt of some donation from Bhaktas.           It has been observed that there are many poor people/Sadhus and saints at Haridwar often in starvation due to pandemic Covid-19 outbreak for a long period as celebration of Bhandaras in almost all Ashrams/Mandirs is totaly stopped due to the critical circumstances of Corona Virus for a long period and no function/celebration on behalf of various mandirs/ashrams is not yet commenced. In that circumstances, poor people and sadhus/saints are in a disastrous condition and they have to live almost without food. So, it has been decided by Sri Sri Ram Thakur Ashram Committee, Haridwar that Bhandaras will be distributed to the poor people and sadhus/saints at Ganga Ghat, Haridwar as per capacity of Ashram Fund. Accordingly, from mid Jul 2020 onward, Bhandaras(Prasad) are being distributed often to the poor people and sadhus/saints (near about 100/150 persons). Thus, they are relishing Prasad cheerfully.  This is one of the noble activities of the Ashram.
