Very sad news.
Respected (Dr.) Srimat Bidhu Bhusan Chakraborty, grand son of Sri Sri Ram Thakur, has left this world on 30-07-2021 at 3.00 p.m. on Friday (13 Shravan, 1428 of Bengali era) at the age of 86 years and reached the stipulated destination of “Srigurulok” after leaving his empty body keeping his family (his wife Smt Gouri Chakraborty, a son Shri Amitabha Chakraborty and a daughter Smt Maitrayi Mukherjee). All Thakurashritabargas/ Bhaktas are heartily wounded to hear the very sad news of his sudden demise. It was a great loss not only to us but also to entire Thakurashritas/Ramashritas/other Bhaktas of India, even of Bangladesh. He was a very respectable person as dynasty of Sri Sri Ram Thakur like a great saint.
He was a renowned professor of Delhi University in Mathematics (Gold Medalist awarded title of doctorate). For his remarkable knowledge in Mathematics, he went to foreign countries several times (Germany, Italy, Japan and America) on behalf of the Delhi University as a great Mathematician. But we are always spellbound from his sweet appearance as if we are in touch of Sri Sri Thakur as he is very simple, very soft spoken, very polite and a thorough gentleman. He had vast knowledge not only in Mathematics but also in spiritual matters. It is beyond our imagination of his versatile talent in all respects from his very simple appearance.
However, we have got great affection from him, specially I, Mohan and Rakhal. Even, those who were in touch have also got great affection. He has always inspired and advised us pertaining to spiritual matters/teachings of Sri Sri Thakur. However, we have learnt many things from his writings, not only in Bengali but in English also so that foreigners are aware of Sri Sri Ram Thakur, for example, “Sri Sri Ram Thakur Katha and other writings in English​

Notwithstanding that, his inspiration with contribution pertaining to establishment of Sri Sri Ram Thakur Ashram at Haridwar on 07-12-2014, was very remarkable. He along with his wife Smt Gouri Chakraborty was present during registration for Haridwar Sri Sri Ram Thakur Ashram land on 01-05-2013 and after completion of registration, he himself kept “Sripat” of Sri Sri Ram Thakur (Kaivalyanath) at Haridwar Ashram on 01-05-2013. Sri Sri Ram Thakur Ashram Committee are very grateful to him for ever due to this. He will be always memorable to us for ever. It is our strong belief that his eternal great soul rest in the lap of Sri Sri Ram Thakur.
